Russian Blockbuster - Invasion

It may sound a little trivial, but we like working on complex and ambitious tasks and to bring there style, elegance and, surely, a little bit of courage. We have to admit, that it's especially tempting when such tasks are part of top russian film projects. Without further ado we are proud to present you our first HUD-reel on "Attraction" and "Invasion"! Very soon we’ll tell you how we learnt some procedural urbanistic magic while creating those stunning motion design elements you’ve seen in the video! And that’s not all, we’ve got so much more to show and tell � So stay tuned!

Here’s a look at some work created for the Russian blockbuster ‘Invasion’ by dobro°.ccs studio. Their work involves various screen designs as well as the prologue to the film itself, which is also worth checking out.

Here you’ll find a mix of military command centre screens, including satellite scans and map data. The other portion of the work is dedicated to visualising an alien AI, and how it processes data.

Prologue

The prologue tells the backstory of the film, using a fly-through of different scenes made up of point cloud images. The final look is vibrant and full of detail. The camera moves are so fluid and I really love the texture this technique provides. I can imagine holograms having this type of feel.

Dear friends! We’d like to share the project that we have made as part of the work on the “Invasion” blockbuster, which was released in 2020. We have developed the interface of a military organization, and also visualized the spaceship’s POV — an artificial intelligence called Sol. To begin with, we offer you to watch a reel in which we recall our work on the first part of the “Attraction” franchise.
